When it comes to attaining important organisational goals, the role of the manager in the execution process is critical. Yet managers too often are foggy about what the key goals are, and they typically have too many goals to begin with. In contrast, picture an organisation where the management is totally focused on the most important priorities and committed to helping their teams achieve the wildly important goals.

Solution

The outcome of this work is to identify the most important goals for each manager and team to pursue, then to create measures and identify the key activities that will predict goal achievement.
