Quotes

It is far better to strike a straight blow with a crooked stick than to spend your whole life trying to straighten the darn thing out
chinese proverb

What is success?

Ø     To laugh often & much

Ø     To win the respect of intelligent people,

             and the affection of children.

Ø     To earn the appreciation of honest critics,

and endure the betrayal of false friends.

Ø     To appreciate beauty, and find the best in others.

Ø     To leave the world a bit better, whether by

o      a healthy child

o      a garden patch or

o      a redeemed social condition

Ø     To know that even one life has breathed easier

      because you have lived.

Ø      This is to have succeeded

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Here's a story from 'it must be true, I read it in the tabloids':

A Bosnian man faked his own death t see how many people would turn up to his funeral. Amir Vehabovic, 45, watched from the bushes, and was shocked to see that only his elderly mum turned up to the ceremony. He then wrote an angry letter to all his acquaintances saying:
'I paid a lot of money to get a fake death certificate, and bribe undertakers. I really thought a lot more of you would turn up. It just goes to show who you can really count on ... '

I believe he has since been reexamining his life paradigms!
