I am not really one for pushing books onto people, but here
is a short list of some that I have found uplifting, useful and inspirational:
I have added easy links to Amazon below, so you can buy them immediately, I'd recommend every one of them,
but here's a bit about each one:
-
The 7 habits: the most inspirational book I have ever read: a real life changer: focusing on the principles
of effectiveness.
-
The 7 habits for teens: the version written in easy english by Stephen Covey's son, Sean ... almost better
than the original!
-
Man's search for meaning: the true story of Victor Frankl's time in Auschwitz, where he discivered 'Man's
ultimate freedom'. This book is a cracker.
-
Long walk to freedom: the autobiography of Nelson Mandela. It is clear from this why he's regarded as
an icon of the 20th century.
-
Raving Fans! : anyone involved in serving customers must read this. It's also short and fun!
-
1 minute manager: the original management book: makes it simple, but very effective. Again, it's short
and fun.
-
Good to great: explains why & how some Companies become and remain great, while most remain average
or good at best.
-
Just William: get these on CD, read by Martin Jarvis: a real treat for a long car journey for adults and
children alike: I can't recommend these too highly!
-
The heart of success: another 'milestone' book. Outlines what is really important, rather than simply
urgent. Some fantastic gems of wisdom in here.
-
The dangerous book for boys: the title says it all: delightfully un PC!
-
Helping clients succeed: the book that will transform your success rate in selling and consulting: amazingly
good.
-
The 8th habit: another one from the Covey stable: as good as ever.
ENJOY! These people have spent lifetimes to bring us this fantastic material.
